The Restful Life

Kingdom Power  

Text: Matthew 16:13-19 (p. 822) 

To confess means to  myself with that which is ultimately true. It is to choose a path and to seek regularly to live on that path. 

As humans we tend to see only what has been, letting a  define a person. 

Jesus knows what He is going to do in the life of a person who has  themself with Him. 

He speaks to our future in Him. He calls out who we will  and what we will  in Him. 

Every child of God has  for the impossible. 

More than we realize, we have authority to  what we think is impossible, and to do that which we know is impossible for us to do. 

While on earth, Jesus lived like we are supposed to live - by the power of  (Jn. 5:19)

When we by faith become God's child, the same  in Jesus is in us. 

Everything we need to live a life of great faith, everything we need to live a , we have. (2 Pet. 1:3)

We can  far more like Jesus than we have ever dreamed. 

And Jesus was always at  

We can become more and more what feels impossible for us to by seeking to stay  with the Spirit's leadership. (Gal. 5:16-25)

And becoming more like Jesus leads to a life of , a life of security, a life of hope. It's a life of
