The Restful Life

Far Beyond What We Ask or Think

Text: Ephesians 3:14-21 (p. 977)

One of the reasons many people in our world struggle with restlessness is because we have something inside of us -  in our  - that longs to matter. (Ecc. 3:11)

But most of us struggle to really believe I have what it takes to make an  in the lives of people.

Nowhere does the Scripture say God will never give us more than we can

I can do anything the  do!

Jesus  for us that way we are to live our lives as sons and daughters of God.

We simply walk as close to God as we can, we  with Him, and we let the Father direct what we need to do. (Jn. 5:19)

Every story of faith in the Bible is God using a person - a people - to do more than they could

We are called  with Jesus which means, we step where He steps, and we do what He does. (Mt. 11:28-29)

When we do that, we will find ourselves challenged because we will step into things beyond what we can

We will be stretched. We will find ourselves stepping into things that make us uncomfortable, places where God has to show up, places that require

But as we do this more and more, I can testify, we find

The Father will lead us regularly into things beyond what we can  so He can show the  of His love and power to the world.
