The Foundation for All Fear 

Text: Psalm 23 (p. 458)

Can you  a life with no fear? 

Daily we're being inundated thousands of times with headlines meant to stir concern, caution and

The result is that most people, when asked to describe how they feel about life right now, they say

Why would God command  a fearless life if fear is just the norm for human existence? 

God only commands what He is willing to  to be reality. 

It's difficult for us to believe that anyone would count a sheep to be so  that he would lay down his life for it. 

We fear we're  to God. And that fear is the foundation of every other fear. 

God doesn't  like we . (Jn. 10:11-13) 

Every human was created by the  of God in the very image of His glory so that we could reflect His glory and share His love. 
But we strayed. We rebelled against God. We

God doesn't find any human who has ever existed or will ever exist to be . (Is. 53:6-7) 

When we rebelled and deserved to be  of, God became a sheep and died so that we could have life. 

 becomes more reality when we  the Shepherd.
