Secure Forever

Text: Romans 8:35-39

Testing brings confidence. Testing provides . Testing produces .

When I am , I am secure forever.

Jesus said there is a thief that steals, kill and destroys. But the thief cannot snatch a sheep once it  to Jesus. (Jn. 10:27-29)

God sending Jesus shouts as loudly as could ever be shouted "the Father wants us." And once we truly say yes, I want to be adopted into His family, He never "" us. (Eph. 1:13-14)

We are not secure in our faith because we've never  it. (2 Cor. 13:5; Jam. 2:14).

The enemy seeks to deceive people into believing they are  when they are not.

When we have a faith that is saving faith, we cannot help but have  it exists. (Mt. 7:17-20)

Test Questions:

  • Has there been a time in my life when I honestly realized I was a sinner and admitted this to myself and to God? (Rm. 3:23)
  • Have I trusted Jesus and Jesus alone for my salvation? Have I said yes to be His follower? (Mt. 16:24)
  • Is my love for God growing? (Mt. 22:37)
  • Is my love for God seen through a life of obedience? (Jn. 14:15)
  • Is my love for people growing? (Mt. 22:39)
  • Do I look forward to the return of Jesus and the thought of heaven? (Phil. 3:20)
  • Does something deep within confirm I am God's child? (Rm. 8:16)
  • Do I see evidence of change and growth in my life due to my faith? (2 Cor. 3:18)
  • Do I see the fruit of the Spirit growing in me? (Gal. 5:22-23)
  • Does the use of my money indicate a greater trust and affection towards God than money? (Mt. 6:24)
  • Is my faith only evidenced by attendance at religious events, or does it affect my daily decisions? (Lk. 9:23)
  • While grieving can I be thankful for the growth that God brings to me when I have gone through difficulty? (Rm. 5:3-4)
