Even Me

Mary Magdalene

Text: John 20

Mary Magdalene was set free by Jesus, the power of her past and  broken in her. (Lk. 8:1-3)

There is absolutely no way Mary of Magdala didn't know what Jesus had spoken about His death and . (Mk. 9:31; Mt. 16:23; Mt. 27:63-64)

Yet Mary, who had experienced the power of Jesus in setting her free, still .

We must go through doubt to go  in our . (Mt. 28:17; Ps. 73:1-3; Ps. 44:1, 23-24)

When we face the  of life, and God doesn't seem to be doing what we think He should do, what we've heard in the lives of others, it can cause doubt even though Jesus told us this would happen.

Just like Jesus was very clear that He would die and be raised on the third day, God has been very clear with us that a life of faith doesn't mean an . (Jn. 16:33; Jam. 1:2-4)

It's one thing to hear something in church and nod our heads to it; it's another thing to  it.

Doubt is . It isn't necessarily the absence of faith. We can have both at the same time.

While God is wanting to take us through the doubt into something , the enemy is wanting to tempt us through doubt into the place of .

 Jesus to meet you in your doubt.

Based on what she did know - based on what she had experienced of the  and  of Jesus - Mary kept seeking in the face of her questions and doubt (v. 11).

And that led her into an  with Jesus that took her through doubt into a  place.
