Passage: Ephesians 5:15-16

Fuel the fire of your faith (Ephesians 5:15-16). With so many things and people vying for our time and attention, it is incredibly easy to become distracted and unfocused. If we are not careful in how we live – being sober-minded and wise in our choices – we give opportunity to the enemy to keep us from God’s best. Our Heavenly Father longs for us to have the best He designed for us, but we must choose to embrace Him and His ways. One of the wisest choices we can make to step into God’s best for us is to fan into flame a passion for Him and His presence. God is passionate, and He calls us to never be lacking in our own zeal (Isaiah 9:6-7; Romans 12:11). Passion is not optional for the Christian journey but instead empowers us to choose God’s best for our lives.

Walk in Wisdom

Text: Ephesians 5:15-16  (p.978)

isn't merely about the overabundance of potential stimuli that comes because of the prosperity of our nation.

There is something deeper, something more   and hideous in   than we tend to think.

Walking is an image of the   we make in our daily lives and where they are taking us. (Jn. 8:12)

Even when we have Jesus, we must be  - "looking carefully at how we walk" - because we have an enemy. (1 Pet. 5:8)

Life ends up being the sum of how we   to walk.

The greatest enemy to God's best is not always what which is outright evil. Often the greatest enemy to God's best is being   by all the good.

Fuel the   of your

God is   that people find hope and peace and abundant life. (Is. 9:6-7)

We are to carry the   - the fire - of the Lord in us. (Mt. 3:11; Rm. 12:11)

Passion, fire, isn't   for the Christian journey.

Fire   the wisest choices.

For this reason I remind you yo   into the   the gift of God, which is in you.                   2 Timothy 1:6-7

The more on fire we are for God, the easier it is to make the     of the time.
