Passage: Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus invites us to a life of rest (Matthew 11:28-30). Because stress and anxiety are so prevalent in our culture and cause countless struggles physically, mentally, emotionally, and relationally, we deeply long for rest and a short reprieve. So we look to our next day off, our next vacation, or our opportunity to simply sleep. But Jesus calls us not to escape work, activity, and stress; He invites us to actively live from a place or posture of rest. We are designed to live out our mission from that place of rest.
