Marriage is about thriving, not surviving (Ephesians 5:15-33). Contrary to how our culture sees marriage, over 70% of those who marry will make it. But to have a marriage that thrives, followers of Jesus should marry other followers of Jesus. When two believers in Jesus marry, there is power available from the Holy Spirit to flourish in that relationship. Thriving comes when Jesus alone is the oneand our spouse is the two. It is out of the overflow of all that Jesus pours into us that we can truly love anyone, especially our spouse.
