Don't Settle

For Less Than Best

Text: Col. 1: 9-18 (p. 983)

You don't have to be a parent to understand that healthy parents  for their kids to have the very best in life.

Healthy parents  so their kids can do well. (Kings 20:19)

Do you think our Heavenly Father wants us, His children by  through Jesus, to have the very best?

The question that brought sin into the world - the question that is the  of all temptation - do I truly believe Jesus wants the best for my life? (Gen. 3:3-5)

More than we can . Our Heavenly Father wants us to have the very best. (Rm. 15:13, Mt. 5:3; Jn. 10:10)

But best isn't

Best comes as Jesus only is  in our lives.

We can struggle just like those in days of old to make Jesus an  to the things we pursue as we attempt to have the best life possible.

Jesus doesn't work as an

No parent has given or  as much as Jesus so their child could have the chance to have the very best in life.

Best comes as Jesus and Jesus only is our , our truth, and our life.

Best becomes truer and truer in our daily lives as we  Jesus' kingdom and His righteousness.

The degree to which we live with Jesus as  in our lives is the degree we truly believe He wants me to have the very best in life.
