In the Big Country, we've had a 250% increase in emergency child removals in just the past 5 years due to the meth epidemic! Over the course of 2019, we saw almost 800 children in the foster care system in Taylor County. Statistically, only 35% of those children stayed in Taylor County. We need more foster homes to ensure that every child in our area has a safe home to grow and heal, without leaving their schools, friends or sports teams when they go into foster care.
