Series: A Better Life

Passage: Ephesians 1:1-7

Previous Page

Join us as we kick off a new sermon series on the book of Ephesians titled "A Better Life," exploring the vital importance of finding our identity in Christ rather than in fragile earthly things like success, politics, or people-pleasing. In this message, Geoffrey shares his own transparent struggle with seeking validation and introduces a powerful testimony from Kasey and Brittney Jay regarding their journey through foster care and the beauty of kingdom adoption. By examining the theology of Ephesians 1, the service illustrates that adoption was never God’s "Plan B" but His intentional choice for us before the foundation of the world. Ultimately, this message serves as an invitation to stop living with an "orphan spirit" defined by fear and instead walk in the fullness of being chosen, allowing us to live our lives from a place of acceptance rather than for it.

Identity

Main Text: Ephesians 1:1-7

Where do you find ?

What we build our identity on  what we live for.

If we misunderstand who we are, we’ll struggle to become who God  to be.

When we understand who we are in Christ, it changes .

and  are found in union with Christ.

Our  was not God’s .

Adoption means we receive the full , , and identity of God’s family.

We have the opportunity to live  acceptance not  acceptance.

answers the question, “Whose am I?”  answers the question, “What was the price?”
