Passage: Revelation 5:1-7

Previous Page

Life can feel like spinning... overwhelming, confusing, and hard to stay steady. In Revelation 5, God gives John a vision to help believers stop living disoriented and afraid. John sees a throne (God is still in control), a sealed scroll (the world is broken and needs to be redeemed), and then the answer: Jesus. He is the Lion of Judah (strong, victorious, powerful) and also the Lamb who was slain (humble, sacrificial, full of mercy). Jesus is not just gentle. He conquers! And He is not just strong. He saves! When we fix our eyes on Him, we can stand firm even when life feels chaotic.

God is...

Lion and Lamb

Text: Revelation 5:1-7; 8:1

What God wants to do through the Apostle John in the book of Revelation is to help people stop

The scroll (5:1) is the  of the earth as God intended it to be.

John is overwhelmed with grief because no one can stop the righteous judgment of God on sin and  the earth and it's people back to what it's supposed to be.

Why was heaven silent? (8:1) Heaven was stunned - overwhelmingly amazed - at God's  of the world.

The slain Lamb who is a Lion shouts God is in

If God would give us His Son as the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world, we know He is  beyond what we can imagine.

But One can be good and still . But Jesus isn't just the Lamb. He is also the Lion.

He opened the seals and took back  of the world.

And He is working in  in this world and in our lives for the good of those love Him. (Romans 8:31-32)

If we want to stop the spinning and disorientation, if we want to live in hope, the key is . (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

Focus comes from more  in our regular lives.
