Obedience

Text:  Luke 2: 41-52

Jesus' life on earth shouts to you and I that obedience, even when it's tough, is     (Hb. 5:8-9)

Isn't it interesting - the text connects Jesus growing in wisdom and favor to His life of   (Lk. 2:51-52)

Extravagant obedience leads to    

Being a follower of Jesus is not about earning things before God but   what Jesus has done for us on the cross. (Eph. 2:8-9)

The way we receive God's love is to love Him in return. We   our lives to Him.

Salvation is a   Salvation is a free gift that costs us everything.

Jesus connected   to   (Jn. 14:31)

When we have a revelation of the extravagance of God's love, it leads to extravagant obedience because we know God would     something that wasn't for our good. (Mt. 7:24-27)

When we find ourselves struggling to obey, it means we need a greater revelation of         (1 Jn. 5:3-4)

Obedience is evidence of our   for the Father and our   of the grandness of His heart. (Jn. 14:21)

Every one of us struggle. But we can't quit struggling. We can't   the importance of obedience.

Jesus went down with his parents and came to Nazareth and was   to them. And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in   with God and man. Luke 2:51-52
