Mutual Submission

Submission...One of the most abused and confused components of marriage is actually the key to a stronger, healthier marriage when seen through the life of Jesus. Submission is not about responding to demands, but rather responding to an invitation to place Jesus first and to radically serve one another in love. Jesus came not to be served, but to serve and to surrender His life for the sake of others knowing the truth and love of God. Marriage, above all other relationships, should be the place where this type of service and love is modeled the most, because it is marriage that is a direct representation of Christ’s love for the church.
