It is for Freedom...

Series: Made for More

Summary

Freedom is a promise that must be possessed (Galatians 5:1). While many people have embraced the lie that real change is impossible and carry an overwhelming sense of
hopelessness, Jesus came to set us free. The freedom He offers us is the ever-increasing
ability to become more and more like Him, to live as God designed us to live. That promise
of freedom, however, is not automatic. We can be alive in Jesus and still not be free. Just
as He commanded Lazarus to come out of the tomb and be unbound, He calls us to be
both made alive and loosed in Him (John 11:38-39). Possessing our promise of freedom is
an ongoing journey of yielding to the leading of the Holy Spirit in what we think and what we do.

It's very possible to be     in Jesus and still not be free.

As soon as we say "yes" to follow Jesus, when we give our life to follow Him, we are as   in Jesus as we can ever get. (Eph. 2:8-9)

Jesus in His goodness doesn't just want us to come out of the grave. He want us  (Jn 11:33-44)

To possess our promise of freedom is the ongoing journey of   to the leading of the spirit in what we think and what we do.

In most earthly kingdoms, submission to the monarch is   by power and coercion. Not in the kingdom of God.

God in His   lets us choose whether we want to be in His kingdom or stay out of His kingdom.

And even when we are in His kingdom, He still allows us to choose to what degree we
