Ignorant No More

Text: 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 (p. 959)

The only way we can grow is if we're willing to acknowledge there are some areas where I don't know some things, where we're  and .

Every Jesus follower is , but each is .

There are two  in the ancient Greek language that tell us a great deal about spiritual gifts.

 means a gift empowered by the Holy Spirit.

 means God has put gifts in each Christian to give His  to the world.

When we're asking God to work in our lives without being intimately connected to a local body, we're asking Him for His power and grace while functionally  ourselves from the source of that power and grace.

When we're not intimately connected to the church, we are  what God has placed in me for other people.

"A spiritual gift bestows an unusual  in a  given to all believers." J.D. Greear in Jesus, Continued.

The way God will normally use each of us - the areas where we should focus on  - correspond to my spiritual gifts.

The most important question: "God, how do you want to use me regularly to show your  to the world?"

If you ask this with honesty and integrity, you are going to find your life making a much greater  than you can imagine.
