Text: Ephesians 6:10-14

  .

begins by embracing a sobering truth. We live in a world at war.

We were born into the middle of raging war which is happening in the spiritual world but is very often played out in the  world.

Often I am asked whether I truly believe in the reality of angels and demons, whether I believe in an  but very real spiritual world.

  • How else do you  our ?

We aren't powerless or disheartened by the reality of our enemy. But we also cannot be . (1 Jn. 4:4)

  • Jesus spend His entire ministry battling . I suspect I as His follower will do the same.

The problem many of us have as believers is that we act as if there is no spiritual world, and even if it does exist, it has very little  on us as humans.

At various times in our lives, we will all face the day of evil (v. 13), a time when the battle is more

If we wait until we need the armor of God to try and get it, it's

We do it now, getting ourselves  for the moment when the day of evil comes in my life or in the life of others.

If we are not "in the Lord," we are  and powerless in this battle.

We can be "in the Lord" but not . In other words, we can be  in the Lord.
