Text: John 2:1-11 (p. 887)

 This, the  of his , Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him. John 2:11

Jesus is  something here about who He is and why He came that we often miss. 

He is saying, "When all is said and done, I have come to bring the joy of my  to this world." 

Jesus wants to  His joy into us to  to the world. 

Joy is not the result of . 1 Thess. 5:16

Joy is not the result of situations; joy is the fruit of . 

When we think what God thinks, we will  what God . 1 Thess. 5:17-18; 1 Cor. 2:16

Emotions are a by-product of our . 

Generally speaking, when we think , when our minds are being renewed by the Word and Spirit, it empowers good, life-giving emotions like joy. Rm. 14:17

The foundation of our joy is that Jesus did what  could never do. 

What can bring any more joy than knowing that when I stand before the judgment of God, Jesus will stand with me, that Jesus will stand for me? Heb. 9:27
