    We live in the middle of a spiritual battle between two kingdoms: the kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of God. As Jennie Allen reminds us, these kingdoms are opposed, but they are not equal. Jesus has already won the decisive victory over darkness! Through Him, we have been rescued and brought into His Kingdom. But we still face lies and deception that try to pull us away from God’s truth. We walk in authority over darkness as we daily surrender to the authority of God, choosing His truth over our own and His will over our own.

    Jesus’ baptism was an act of prayer where He  to the authority of the Father to do His will.

     

    And Jesus lived His life  to the authority of God. (Matthew 26:39; John 4:34)

     

    According to Jesus,  is the ruler of the kingdoms of the world. (John 14:30; 1 John 5:19)

     

    The word “repent” (Matthew 4:17) has a lot of implications.  But at its heart in this context it means, “Change the  to whom you are .

     

    Jesus, out of His immense love and grace, came and created the opportunity for us to live in a different kingdom, the kingdom of . (Ephesians. 2:1-2)

     

    Jesus came to restore the ability to live as God designed, to live .

     

    We walk in authority over darkness as we  to the authority of God.

     

    Between the decisive victory of Jesus at the cross and the final victory of Jesus at His return, the kingdom of darkness still  on this earth. (Revelation 1:17-18; 11:15)

     

    When we are , we no longer have to live under the lies, deceptions and destruction of the kingdom of darkness. (Colossians 1:13; Luke 9:23)

     

    Daily I surrender " ” for the truth. (1 John 5:20)

     

    Daily I surrender  for His will.
