    Passage: Philippians Phil. 3:7-14

    Previous Page

Following Jesus is a lifelong journey of growth. None of us has arrived, and God does not expect us to have everything figured out. But He loves us too much to leave us where we are. Paul reminds us that spiritual maturity includes recognizing our need to grow, letting go of what is behind us, and continuing to press on toward becoming more like Jesus. We don’t grow to earn God’s love; we grow because we are already loved by Him. “It’s okay not to be okay, but it’s not okay to stay not okay.”

    Main Text: Philippians 3:7-14

Even though we are very unlikely to live the same story as Paul and Silas, we still find ourselves challenged to  again and again in our journey of faith. (Acts 16)

Part of  in our faith journey is knowing I need to .

to be more like Jesus brings great .

God wants  to increasingly be our reality in this life and then ultimately in the life to come. (John. 10:10)

To grow we must  what is behind, both failures and successes.

Paul is clear. My failures are under the blood of Jesus and will not hold me back.  Nor will I rest on past successes. I will not be satisfied until I am completely .

To grow we must press on. Press on is statement of priority, that my growth in Jesus is the  of my life.

Growth doesn’t happen all at once. It happens  as we prioritize it.

We don’t press on to  Jesus to love us.

We press on, we prioritize our growth,  Jesus loves us and want us to live in the abundant life He died for us to have.
