Full-Time Production & A/V Tech Lighting Director (40 hrs/week):
The Production Director supports the church’s audio and video needs by assisting with live production for weekend services, ministry events, and special gatherings across all campuses. This role works alongside senior production staff to help set up, operate, and maintain audio, video, and staging systems, ensuring a consistent and distraction-free worship environment. Responsibilities include assisting with live sound, video playback, basic video production, equipment setup and teardown, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting ministry teams and volunteers.
- Support audio and video production for weekend services across all campuses (South, North, and Online), assisting with setup, operation, and teardown of A/V systems.
- Assist with live audio mixing, monitors/IEMs, livestream audio, and video playback during worship services and ministry events under the direction of senior production staff.
- Help set up and maintain stages, booths, studios, and production spaces, ensuring equipment is organized, clean, labeled, and ready for rehearsals, services, and shoots.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and technical support for audio, video, lighting, and automation systems, escalating issues as needed.
- Assist with video production tasks, including camera operation, lighting setup, basic editing, and content preparation for weekend services and ministry needs.
- Support ministries with weekly A/V needs, including classrooms, student spaces, children’s environments, and special events.
- Work alongside senior staff to help maintain production equipment, including routine checks, inventory tracking, and software/plugin updates.
- Assist with special events such as camps, retreats, weddings, funerals, conferences, and off-site services, including setup, operation, and teardown.
- Learn and follow established audio and video standards, workflows, and best practices to help maintain consistent sound and visuals across services.
- Support and collaborate with A/V volunteers and serve team members, helping foster a positive, team-oriented production environment.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, video, or computer technology or equivalent work experience. Preferred experience serving in a similar role for another organization. Extensive knowledge of large-scale PA system, DANTE audio protocols/systems, digital mixers, IEM mixing experience, video lighting experience, video editing experience (Final Cut Pro), video shooting ability, live production switching experience, IMAG projection systems, and video maintenance. Must be highly motivated, self-starting, and able to work independently.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times, and the ability to work on high ladders or hydraulic lifts.
