Administrative Assistant - Boots on the Ground & Beltway Garage
“You don’t understand now, what I am doing, but someday you will.” (John 13:7) I love this verse, because I had no idea what God was doing, when I was hired on the Facilities Team at Beltway in 2023.
I was raised in a Christian home but left all of that behind at 18, when I moved to Florida in 2017 to attend Full Sail University in Orlando for four years, learning Computer Animation. Not long after, I moved to Tennessee for what I thought was an ‘Adventure,’ but it led me to working as an Airduct Cleaner Tech, and bouncing between Atlanta, GA, and Murfreesboro, TN. It was a far cry from the video game designer I had hoped to be one day.
Thankfully, God had better plans. After years of struggling, I moved back to my small hometown of Sweetwater, TX. I was saved at the age of 24 in December of ’23. Only a few months later I was working at Beltway’s Facilities Team, and now I am so blessed to work for Boots on the Ground and the Beltway Garage as an Admin. Now I get to play a small part in helping people that are in similar positions to what I was in as a 24-year-old. There is nothing God cannot do if you just choose to let Him.
Of course, I still love video games. Bioshock, Elder scrolls, Minecraft, or any FPS to name a few. I also, still create art, read comics, and enjoy tabletop RPGS. I love anything that has a good story. I still write silly comics or stories. But I do go outdoors on occasion, like hiking, camping, or going on adventures (really anywhere I find shiny rocks or a nice walking stick). I also really really like Dinosaurs (No explanation needed).
