Administrative Assistant - Facilities Team
My husband Ray and I came to Beltway in early 2004, along with our daughters, Brooke and Landri. At that time the sanctuary was about half the size it is now, and Kids Park building didn’t exist! Since then, our family has grown to include two wonderful sons-in-law – Scott Brown and Steven Ognowski – along with five absolutely awesome grandsons: Ian, Eli, Alistair, Orson, and Rhys.
Like my family, Beltway has also grown in so many ways since we first came. I’m amazed at the many avenues of ministry that flow out of this little church “sitting between three cow pastures.” Ray and I have been involved in several different ministries over the years, such as coaching re|engage and teaching Financial Peace. But the one that seems to fit best is serving on the Prayer Team on Sunday mornings and at Healing Nights. I love it when hurting people experience the overwhelming, healing love of God that can mend their broken hearts and set them free.
In November 2021, I accepted a part-time position here as the Administrative Assistant for Facilities. Perfect, since it gives me time for my other very important position as Mimi! I was immediately struck by the amazing privilege of a job where I get to attend a staff worship service every Tuesday, followed by a Facilities Department prayer time every Wednesday. So far, I haven’t lost the wonder of that, and hopefully I never will. One thing about working here that stands out the most is that Beltway still has the heart of a small, close-knit family despite its growth. I love that!
One of my main job responsibilities is to manage the Facilities schedule for all those different avenues of ministry that occur at South Campus. I coordinate the requests that come in for the necessary rooms and resources for each activity, maintain the daily schedule of events, and provide detailed set-up instructions to the Facilities team. Our goal is to have the right resources in the right place at the right time so that ministry can flow smoothly. If you come, attend your event, and go home without ever thinking about the tables, chairs, and other resources that make it all possible, then it’s a job well done for the Facilities team!
