Will Saunders
Beltway Garage Director
I was born in Paget, Bermuda and had a unique upbringing as a military brat, living in every U.S. time zone. From New York and Maryland to Hawaii, my early years were filled with diverse experiences. After moving to California for junior high and high school, I joined the Air Force from Colorado. In 2007, God and the Air Force led my family to Abilene, a place we proudly call home for its convenience and community spirit.
My lovely wife, June Saunders, and I have been happily married since 2000 and have raised four amazing young men together. We met teaching children’s church in California, and our shared passion for ministry has only grown stronger. We have always been committed to serving our community and sharing the love of Christ. Starting at Beltway in 2017 on the facilities team, I retired from the Air Force in 2019 and became the Director of the Beltway Garage in 2021. I love working with my hands, fixing cars, and most importantly, touching hearts with the love of Jesus.
I’ve always been a tinkerer, I enjoy working on my project cars—a '65 Mustang, a 1990 Eddie Bauer Bronco, and a 1991 Mitsubishi 3000 GT. When not in the garage, I love spending time with my family, riding my motorcycle, fishing, playing basketball, and the bass guitar. As a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, I find joy in watching the Cowboys' seasonal struggles. Fly Eagles Fly!
Reflecting on my journey, I am amazed by God's work in my life and family. I feel incredibly blessed to have a job I love at Beltway, where the leadership puts Jesus first, cares deeply for families, and fosters a welcoming environment.
