I grew up in a military family. My father started his career as an A-10 Warthog pilot in the US Air Force, so we moved around a whole lot when I was a kid. I was born in Madison, Wisconsin but we moved shortly after I was born. I spent my childhood living in places like Florida, Arizona, Germany, Italy, and New Mexico. My dad retired from the USAF while flying the F-117 Stealth Fighter in 2003. We moved to Abilene, Texas after he retired where I finished my last two years of high school and proudly graduated as a Wylie Bulldog, class of 2005.
I began attending Beltway in 2008 and soon volunteered as a camera operator after responding to a call for A/V help in the Sunday bulletin. In the summer of 2011, while serving, I was approached to interview for an IT position that recently opened, as church leaders were aware of my IT experience.
I have been the IT Director here at Beltway since October of 2011. I oversee all Beltway’s computer and IT systems at our South Campus, North Campus and Ministry Center. The world of IT is my passion and calling, and I have over 20 years of experience in various roles. I also hold a current CCNA certification.
I have lived here in Abilene since 2003, and my wife Jansen and I married in 2009. Jansen is a high school science and technology teacher. Fun fact about us: Jansen and I have known each other our whole lives! Her mom and my aunt were best friends in high school and our families are still close today.
