Taryn Nelson
Director of Kids' Club & Summer Club
Born and raised in Abilene, I feel extremely blessed to have grown up and serve in this community. Beltway Park has had an incredible impact on my life: finding a solid relationship with Jesus, being challenged to grow in freedom and community, meeting my husband, and raising our family here. My husband, Ronnie, and I met in high school through our Beltway youth group mission trip to Mexico. Married since 2012, we are thankful for many adventures together including our daughter Nayvie, and our son Wesley.
I have had the privilege to grow up working in our Kids’ Club/Summer Club ministry. From my first job as a high school senior, to stepping into a leadership role through college and becoming a full-time admin after graduating in 2013, to now being in a Director position, I have been able to use my passion for helping students grow into their fullest potential and to know they are fully loved by the Lord. I also love the fact that we get to provide a safe and fun environment for students and meet a need in our community, while parents and families are at work. I've been thankful to partner with so many students, families, and staff over the years. One of the biggest blessings has been to watch students grow up through our program and come back for their first job experience with the heart of wanting to give back to younger students as they were once poured into in this place.
My heart is forever grateful for this church and the way it has shaped and molded me and changed the destiny of my family. I'm so thankful that I get to be a part of that journey for others through our Kids’ Club / Summer Club ministry.
