Who Do You Work For?

November 15, 2015 | David McQueen

Rich is when your money works for you, not when you work for your money. For the love of money (mammon), not money itself, is deceptive. The basic lie of mammon is convincing us that “I don’t need God, I can be self sufficient.“ Mammon lies to us by promising us things that can only be found in Jesus – security, happiness, identity, significance, power, freedom, and acceptance. We cannot have the true riches that God offers if we don’t make sure our money works for us…and that is tied to generosity.
