Put on Courage

Text: Ephesians 4:22-24, 30 (p.978)

I can't help but feel the challenge of faith when I   those willing to give their lives for Jesus. (Rev. 6:9-11; Heb 13:7)

In Jesus we've been made a new person - born again. But we must mature -   - into everything we already are.

If we keep   to our faith - keep putting on Godliness - then we become effective and productive. (2 Pet. 1:5-8)

We   the Holy Spirit when we either:

  against what He has told us not to do.

Or, we   to do that which He says to do.

Jesus Grieves when we     on what He died for us to have.

The reason we typically say no to the Spirit is   (Josh. 1:19)

Courage is   to productive faith.

To   a Christian takes courage.

It takes courage to live a life of  

Life as a follower of Jesus isn't for the      

If we don't put on courage,   in our faith is very possible given the direction of our society.

When wickedness rises in a society - like we're seeing in our nation right now - the temptation to let our love for Jesus grow   rises. (Mt. 24:9-13)

It takes courage to   when wickedness is on the rise. (Josh. 24:15)
