Series: Marriage is for Losers

Nourish and Cherish

May 26, 2019 | David McQueen

Passage: Ephesians 5:22-23

In marriage, we must invest for success (Ephesians 5:22-33). Investing into a marriage means losing something now so that we gain later. It means pursuing our spouse with great energy and clinging to them zealously. We nourish our marriage by regularly investing time and purposefully working on the relationship. We cherish our marriage by investing appreciation, choosing not to compare our spouse to anyone or anything else and working through annoyances and offenses.
