Intentional Dating

When I , even when that means I give up what I want or a personal freedom in a particular area so I can help someone else, God is glorified! (1 Cor. 10:31-33; Jn. 17:4)

Followers of Jesus  to bring glory to God.

One of the reasons you date is to see if the other person really has . (Prov. 22:1)

In marriage it would be to join a believer with a non-believer. (2 Cor. 6:14; Deut. 22:10)

They are going to approach life differently in regards to money, child-raising priorities - everything - because one is living for  and the other has a different priority.

No book of the Bible encourages any more than the Song of Solomon.

But at the same time, it just as strongly encourages us to wait for the appropriate time and place which is between a man and woman committed to one another in .

Physical intimacy - including prolonged kissing - is meant to form . (1 Cor. 6:16)

But if we keep forming  with friends and those we date, and then we break away from those attachments, what are we doing?

Among many things, we are training ourselves for divorce (and the heart-wrenching  that comes with it).

Sexual intimacy in marriage can help with purity, but it isn't the answer. Pursuing  while single or married is the answer. (1 Cor. 6:18-20)
