Audio/Visual Projects Engineering Director
Full-Time AV Projects Engineering Director (40 hrs/week):
The Projects & Engineering Director will help provide leadership in Beltway's audio/visual ministry by providing oversight, alongside the Weekend Services Director, to any project the AV team is tasked to do, including servicing ministry needs, fixing broken AV equipment, etc.. The position is responsible for sound, stage, and worship technical services during church services and various ministry activities, as assigned.
- Point leader on any big picture projects/goals in the audio/visual ministry; point leader on all project requests from individual ministries.
- Provide oversight and participate, along with the Weekend Services Director, for any special events the AV team is responsible for, including: Camps, Retreats, other church functions such as Weddings and Funerals, and Special Events.
- Provide A/V support for weekend services (available at all campuses); and provide support to ministries for weekly A/V related needs.
- Ensure stage/support areas (both campuses) are cleaned, taped, and set prior to/after each weekend service and in preparation for weekly rehearsals (lighting, staging, music, equipment, creative elements, speaker resources, backstage, video booth, sound booth, livestream studio, etc.).
- Set up and run various A/V needs for adult classrooms, BSM rooms, Beltway Kids rooms for all campuses, as needed; and help manage desk tickets assigned (install, maintain, and repair A/V equipment) for all campuses.
- Help maintain an inventory of equipment, supplies and purchases.
- Be willing to travel to and help service other campuses and other partner churches/ministry organizations, as needed; and help train and work with A/V serve team members.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, video, or computer technology or equivalent work experience. Preferred experience serving in a similar role for another organization. Extensive knowledge of large-scale PA system, DANTE audio protocols/systems, digital mixers, IEM mixing experience, video lighting experience, video editing experience (Final Cut Pro), video shooting ability, live production switching experience, IMAG projection systems, and video maintenance. Must be highly motivated, self-starting, and able to work independently.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times, and the ability to work on high ladders or hydraulic lifts.
