Text: John 20:24-29

Denying our doubts, pretending our questions don't exist, is .

Thomas is actually a  if we truly want the life-giving faith promised in Scripture.

Thomas also knew that he couldn't be who the Father had called Him to be with a  faith.

Now faith is the  of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Thomas had a faith that loved people so deeply that he was willing to risk his life - to give up his life - to love as  people he didn't even know. (Jn. 15:13)

We must actively seek to address our doubts with .

We can tend to use the skeptical questions to justify our desire to not be  with.

But in the process, we are actually keeping ourselves from the  our souls long for.

Everything about our faith hinges on the  Jesus.

And the reality of the resurrection is based on . (1 Cor. 15:4-7; 2 Pet. 1:16; Acts 26:25-26)

Men and women will not suffer torture and die for that which they  is a lie.

But in the world of that day  weren't allowed to be witnesses in court.

If you're creating a story based on a lie, you don't have Mary Magdalene as your first .

Jesus was not the kind of Messiah the Jews were looking for. The people of Israel were looking for a  to free them from the occupation of Rome.
