We must take hold of the victory God has already given us (1 Corinthians 15:57). We must possess the win God has made available to us. Taking hold of that victory means we must battle for a pure and undivided heart before God. All other issues and struggles are mere symptoms of the real battle for our hearts. The scheme of our enemy is to convince us that anything other than God can satisfy the deep longings of our heart. But the truth is that only God can satisfy. The goal is to bring our hearts into alignment with the heart of our Heavenly Father, to develop or foster a clean, undefiled heart (Psalm 51:10).
