Stand

... for others

Text: Daniel 4

Jesus, in His love that is far grander than our ability to comprehend, came that we might . (1 Pet. 5:8-9)

God's people stand for  in everyone.

If my life - my sinful, loathsome, despicable life - has been changed by Jesus, then Jesus can change .

And as those who have had their lives changed by Jesus, we stand for what  stands for.

Daniel, at risk of his life, confronted the most powerful man on planet earth at that time with . (v. 27)

But he did it with . (v. 19; Mt. 5:43-45)

If we are going to stand for God's best in everyone, then at times we will have to .

Daniel prayed for Nebuchadnezzar ! Daniel prayed for God's best in his life which could only come as he surrendered to God as King of Kings.

And he prayed for an opportunity to help bring about

Part of the reason we pray, both corporately and privately, is to get wisdom to  in the right way at the right time with the right heart.

We speak the truth in love, and our goal is always .

We then leave the  to God.

It appears - it's at least very possible - Nebuchadnezzar became a  of the one true God because on man, the most unlikely of mean, was willing to stand for him. (vv. 34-37)
