Passage: Matthew 11:25-30
Rest comes as we know the Father’s heart for His children (Matthew 11:25-30). Knowing the Father’s heart means we become like a child, humbly embracing His absolute care and control. It means boldly sitting with our Heavenly Father in His chair with Him as a confident son or daughter. Some are in different chair, the one reserved for those outside the family who have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus. But many who have chosen to follow Jesus are sitting in a middle chair, having been adopted as a son or daughter but still living and seeing their world as an orphan. To be truly victorious over anxiety, we have to move our minds and our spirits from being an orphan to being a child who freely and joyfully sits in our Father’s chair.
