Responsibility Without Worry

Responsibility Without Worry

September 30, 2018 | David McQueen

Passage: Philippians 4:4-9

Anxiety is a tactic the enemy is using to rob from us the life that Jesus offers. The word “worry” actually comes from an old English word that means “to strangle.” When we worry, we try to carry and take responsibility for things that are not ours to carry alone. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” As we seek to hear, receive, and learn what God has, and we put those things into practice, the God of peace is with us.
