Is That "Normal"?

Text: 1 Corinthians 12:2-14:1

The more  is having the love of Jesus in me that spurs me to use the gift or gifts that He has placed in me.

Many of the things of God are  what is normal in our culture.

You can't really follow Jesus and have people - even sometimes people you love - not think you to be a bit (1 Peter 2:11)

The question we face every day is if we will embrace what God says is  or what society says is .

Many  talked about in the Bible are considered weird in our culture.

Why wouldn't I not only want, but , for anything God would give me no matter how He wants to give it?

 how God will work in and through your life.

The struggle that all believers have had is that we tend to interpret the  through the lens of our culture instead of interpreting out culture through the lens of the .

Spiritual gifts being used  by every believer is the way Jesus shows Himself to the world.

It isn't the perfect representation of Jesus, but it is how God is working right now. But when Jesus comes and we see Him , there will no longer be a need for spiritual gifts.

We are to be . Not everything purported to be of God is from God.

But our source of  isn't the norms of our culture. The source is Scripture.

I want my life to be one of  grace - grace that I receive regularly from His people, grace He empowers me to give to others.
