We can finish stronger than we began. The promise of God, that we can stand firmly on despite our sinfulness, is that Jesus saves sinners. We saw this in the life of Paul, who at the end of his life, was able to make this declaration:Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost(1 Timothy 1:15). Like Paul, it is critical in our relationship with Jesus that we acknowledge that we are still being saved, that in humility we need Jesus just as much today, if not more, than when we did at the beginning of our faith journey.
