You grow where you are committed! Offered every month, our one-week Membership course unpacks the vision of Beltway Park, our core values, and our central beliefs. At the end of the session you are given the opportunity to complete the membership process by being interviewed by a member of our church leadership. For those new to Beltway Park, this is a great place to start learning more about who we are as a church.

*Topical groups below are for our Spring Session, 2018.

**Please note that all topical groups are subject to change…some may be updated with a newer name, location, and more details.

Hunger Within

What's the real reason we struggle with eating problems? We try to use food to satisfy our souls. As the Hallidays explain, we all crave intimacy, security, and acceptance. When these needs are not met, we often turn to substitutes such as food. The Hallidays go beyond trendy, short-term weight-control plans and urge readers to allow God to satisfy their deepest hungers. Anyone who has struggled with weight loss or an eating disorder will benefit from this honest and thorough look at getting beyond the guilt and the ups and downs of yo-yo dieting. This revised and expanded edition offers readers updated information throughout and includes more study questions.

Begins Thursday, March 1

Discerning the Voice of God (by Priscilla Shirer)

Do you feel that the ability to hear God’s voice is for other people and not for you? Is it only for people who lived in Biblical times? Not at all! The God who loved you enough to die for you loves you enough to talk to you. And wherever you are in your spiritual walk, God will find a way to speak to you in a way you will understand. Become acquainted with the Voice that has spoken from a fire and a cloud, with visible signs and an invisible Spirit, through a burning bush and burning hearts. Hear from some of the most well known Christians in history about how God speaks to them, and discover for yourself how you can discern the voice of God.

Spiritual Warfare

We are more than conquerors in Christ. It’s time the church began living like victors in this world rather than as victims. Our Savior and our faith are more than enough to guarantee we have consistent victory over the world, the flesh and the devil—assuming we learn to fight strategically and biblically with the weapons at our disposal. Join us as we, together, get in the Word of God to learn divine strategies for victorious living, here on earth.

The Word of Life - Studies in First John

Towards the end of the First Century A.D., many false teachers were hard at work in the church, spreading their lies and deception - just as Jesus had warned would happen. To combat these deceivers, the Apostle John left behind a sermon in the form of a letter. In this letter, which we call First John, John gives us three tests to help us know if faith is genuine, and describing how we as Christians should live. In this class, we will consider John's message, and discover that his three tests are still valuable for us today. The practical wisdom he shares will give us encouragement, confidence, and hope, in spite of whatever difficulties we may face. The class begins January 21 and can be joined at any time. Participants are encouraged to bring a Bible and a pen; other materials will be provided.

Goliath Must Fall (Louie Giglio)

In this six-session video Bible study, we'll examine the David and Goliath story to show us how to focus on the size of our God, not the height of our giants and to gain freedom to walk in the victory Christ has already won over the enemies that rob us of God's best for our life.
